Music Adventure is in residence at Tenuta di Spannocchia in Italy, a center for education and organic agriculture 22 km from Siena, in the heart of Tuscany.
The mission of the Spannocchia Foundation, a non-profit organization, is to encourage global dialogue about sustaining cultural landscapes for future generations. Spannocchia has been featured in Bon Appetit, the Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Times, and Travel and Leisure. It is a popular ecotourism destination and a protected ecological preserve. When not hosting groups, it hosts bed and breakfast guests.
Music Adventure participants will share spacious and comfortable rooms in the Villa. Villa rooms occupy the original structure on the property, once home to the aristocratic Spannocchi family. The Villa was built in the 16th century, and expanded in the 18th century. It is furnished with many original antiques, period paintings, and family heirlooms. Each room has a private bath. Participants enjoy the use of common areas, including the library, living room, and secret garden house, in addition to the pool and several hiking trails on the property.
Breakfast, lunch, and a family-style three-course dinner are all included and provided by Spannocchia. The fresh food is all organic and mainly produced at Spannocchia. The few ingredients that aren’t grown at the farm are sourced, whenever possible, from other organic farms and producers. The kitchen is accommodating of dietary restrictions. Wednesdays feature special dinners: pizza night from the wood-fired oven and “Nostra Cena”, a dress-up affair with four courses highlighting regional specialties. Learn more about the farm.
